日本では1年は3か月ずつ四つの季節に分かれています。1年を通じて気候は溫暖で暑さ寒さもあまりきびしくありません。山脈【さんみゃく】が本州を縦【じゅう】に走っているので太平洋側（表日本）と日本海側（裏日本）では気候の差が大きいです。表日本では、夏はむし暑く、冬は濕気が少なくて晴天が多いです。裏日本では冬は雪がたくさん降ります。いわゆる雪國では雪が4～5メートルもつもることがあるそうです。

除夕之夜，聽見外面振耳入聾的鞭炮聲，看見窗外夜空色彩斑斕的焰火，我再也耐不住性子了，拉起爸爸就往外跑，也想去湊個熱鬧。「嗬，太美了！」萬家燈火通明，無數盞形狀不同的街燈和路燈全亮了，大放異彩，與五顏六色閃爍著的霓虹燈交相輝映。一個個大紅燈籠高高掛起，舉目望去，一片紗燈點點透著火紅。樓下空地上滿臉喜氣的大人和孩子在放煙花，鞭炮，「嘭，彭」一串串煙花拔地騰空而起，繽紛的煙花如花綻放，又宛如流星，「孔雀開屏」，「百鳥朝鳳」，「千年富貴」十幾種眼花在夜空中爭奇斗研，把整個天空映得五彩斑斕，令人眼花繚亂，目不暇接。

「吃餃子了」奶奶把我和爸爸喚進屋去。一家人團團圓圓，津津有味地吃著三鮮陷餃子，欣賞著豐富多彩的春節晚會節目。爺爺，老叔還有爸爸舉杯暢飲，奶奶笑眯眯的雙眼變成了兩條縫，一家人都是滿面春風，其樂融融。

午夜的鍾聲響了，雞年在一片歡樂的祝福聲中走來了。這鍾聲就像金雞在長鳴報曉「春天來了」，預示著風調雨順，國泰民安，萬物祥和，生活富裕，小康連年。
