The Peak is Hong Kong's number one tourist destination, playing host to more than 6 million visitors each year. It features the city's oldest and most reliable mode of public transport, The Peak Tram, in operation since 1888. A scenic ride up from the city centre to The Peak takes only 7 minutes.
At the summit, visitors arrive at The Peak Tower, the city's most unusual building and icon. The unique "wok" shaped tower sits at an elevation of 396 metres. Viewing terraces located on different levels of the tower offer spectacular views of the Hong Kong and Kowloon skylines, including Victoria Harbour.
The Peak Tower also puts visitors in touch with Hong Kong's lesser known, but equally breathtaking natural side. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along one of the nature trails starting from The Peak Tower and relax among the lush green vegetation while enjoying a 360-degree view of Hong Kong.
The Peak Tower is undergoing a substantial revitalisation which is scheled to be completed in second quarter 2006. This convenient and well known landmark will be transformed into an exciting, fun and fashionable destination in its own right: a festival market place, celebrating the diversity and character of Hong Kong.

Opened in 1977, Ocean Park is one of Hong Kong's perennially popular attractions, providing an exciting mix of entertainment, ecation and conservation facilities. The 80-hectare (200-acre) park is situated on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, with rides, exhibits and facilities on both sides of the mountain. A cable car system links the lowland and headland sections, offering spectacular views en route.
New and fun-filled entertainment facilities are introced from time to time. Over the past few years, new rides and exhibits such as Pacific Pier (2001); the Mine Train (2000); The Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat (1999); Discovery of the Ancient World (1997); the Flying Swing (1997) and the Film Fantasia Simulator Ride (1996) have entertained thousands of visitors.
Ocean Park works to promote and support animal conservation in Hong Kong and throughout the Asia region. It has, in co-operation with other conservation organisations, launched various conservation programmes for a number of endangered species, including whales and dolphins. In addition, it has successfully bred rare species of birds, sharks and butterflies.
Visitors can purchase admission tickets from 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout Hong Kong.
